Course SynopsisWhat laboratory tests should dental professionals focus on?

We will overview

  • Hematology testing
  • CBC+Diff, Hemostasis/coagulation studies
  • Overview of the Clinical Chemistry/Immunology testing
  • CMP, Diabetes and Hgb A1C, bloodborne pathogens
  • Point-of-Care Testing

Objectives: 

1. Understand what laboratory testing may be needed to treat patients safely and effectively to optimize care and outcomes

2. How to request/order relevant testing

3. How to interpret and best utilize/apply the results
